Education

Seligman offers a public school that includes Kindergarten through 12th grades.  Seligman Unified School District teaches approximately a total of 180 students which makes for small class sizes.  The school week is four days running Monday through Thursday.  For more information go to the school's website at www.seligmanschools.org

Health Care

The North Country HealthCare Clinic is located 22585 W. Oak St in Seligman. County Services

Seligman lies in the northwest region of Yavapai County. (pronounced yav-uh-pie) The city of Prescott serves as the county seat. Information concerning property taxes, construction, land use, and much more can be found at www.co.yavapai.az.us/

County resources found in Seligman include:

Seligman Public Library is located at 54170 N. Floyd St. and is open from 9:30am to 5:00 Monday through Friday.  The library offers a meeting room much used by local organizations and use of computers.  Although small, the library is part of the Yavapai County Free Library District which includes 20 affiliated public libraries involved in interlibrary loan. This network facilitates countywide sharing of library materials. Yavapai County Sheriff's Office has a Seligman sub-station on Floyd St. next to the Justice Court. The Yavapai County Switchboard can be reached toll-free at (928) 771-2797.  Additional information on the Sheriff's Office is at www.ycsoaz.gov

Seligman Transfer Station is located at the end of the "Landfill" Road on the east side of town. Open Wednesdays and Saturdays (excluding holidays) from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Household garbage can be disposed of for $1.00 per 30 gallon bag.  The transfer station also takes other garbage for varying fees.  You can also drop off some your recyclables free of charge including: cardboard, #1 and #2 plastic bottles, and cans.

 

Post Office

The Seligman Post Office is located at 22801 W. Route 66.  Phone: (928) 422-3468. The Postal Zip Code for the area is 86337. Daily collection of mail is Monday - Friday at 2:30 pm and Saturday at 9:45 am.  Full service office hours are Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.  Access to post office boxes and mail drops are available 24 hours.  There is no mail delivery in Seligman.  Therefore, all mail through the United States Postal Service in Seligman must be sent to P.O. Volunteer Fire Department

The Seligman Fire District station is located on the corner of Route 66 and 2nd St in Seligman.  Our firefighters are all volunteers comprised of members of the local community dedicated to providing fire, medical, and other emergency services to the town of Seligman and the surrounding rural areas.  We are very fortunate to have this group of men and women taking time from their personal lives to serve our community.  To find out more about Seligman Fire go to their website at www.seligmanfire.com FOR EMERGENCIES DIAL 911

 

Black-footed Ferret Project, Arizona Game and Fish

The Arizona Game and Fish Department Mission:To conserve, enhance, and restore Arizona's diverse wildlife resources and habitats through aggressive protection and management programs, and to provide wildlife resources and safe watercraft and off-highway vehicle recreation for the enjoyment, appreciation, and use by present and future generations.

Seligman Cemetery Committee

The Seligman Cemetery is located just south of town.  To access it you can take exit 121 off of I-40 turn north towards town and then turn right after about a tenth of a mile onto the cemetery road.  The plan of the Seligman Cemetery Committe is to get the cemetery cleaned up, keep it maintained, attempt to get the unmarked gravesites marked, and eventually plant trees along the entry way to the cemetery.  The committee needs help in identifying the gravesites that are not marked.  If you know someone who has a family member or friend that has been buried at the Seligman Cemetery please pass the word and contact us.  Please contact Hal Dyer at 928 422 3424 with or for information regarding the Seligman Cemetery.  For more information on the Cemetery Rules and Regulations, cemetery plot prices and Seligman Cemetery forms click here to be directed to the Seligman Cemetery Page.
